Highlights
- Postural Practice and techniques: Biomechanical principles of functional movement and adaptations for over 100 yoga postures and their variations
- Anatomy and Physiology: Basic anatomy and physiology, mind-body connection, safe and healthy movement, injury prevention, and system-specific insights
- Pranayama and Meditation: Techniques for breathwork and mindfulness
- Teaching Methodology: Sequencing, cueing, classroom management, ethics, and business of yoga
- Hands-on experience: Practice teaching with individualized feedback and mentoring
- Philosophy: History of yoga, wisdom teachings from the major texts of the yoga tradition, Yogic principles, Energy body, and Hatha Yoga tradition

Structure
Our hybrid program combines in-person and online learning components (165 in-person hours, 35 online hours) designed to fit within the academic year:
Online Component:
- 14 Zoom sessions, every second Tuesday evening - 35 hours
In-Person Component:
Five-Day Intensives (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.).

Barrie Risman
An internationally-acclaimed yoga teacher, teacher trainer, and author of "Evolving Your Yoga: Ten Principles for Enlightened Practice." With over two decades of teaching experience and extensive knowledge of alignment-based Hatha Yoga and applied yoga philosophy, Barrie has been training and mentoring yoga teachers since 2007 and serves on teacher-training faculties in the US, Canada, and the UK.

Anne Archambault
A Concordia part-time faculty member with over 30 years of experience in leading personal growth and wellness programs. Anne specializes in training recreation therapists and adaptive yoga, blending yoga with innovative group facilitation techniques.

Certification:
Upon successful completion of the program, you'll receive a certificate of completion and be eligible to register with the Canadian Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher.

Program Fees:
- Standard registration: $3,800 (tax status TBD)
- Early registration: $3,500 (Save $300 if registered by June 1, 2025)
Note: Program requires a minimum 14 participants to run, with a maximum capacity of 30.
Payment & Refund Policy:
- Paid in two installments: First payment due at registration; second payment due by Aug. 25, 2025
- A 50% refund will be provided from the total amount paid for refund request given by August 30, 2025
- No refund will be provided after August 30, 2025
